Thanks for taking the time to comment. If you are correct, and there’s genuine emotional ignorance, I don’t think there’s a moral trespass, or at least not a large one. I can’t hold a guy to blame if he honestly didn’t realize.

But, I think in a lot of cases, we — men and women — see what we want to see. We say we didn’t know, but some part of our subconscious did and we ignored it. We do this any time what we know to be true might get in the way of what we want. If you’ve ever tried to justify to yourself purchasing candy while on a diet, you know what I’m talking about. (:
